Bingham take the spoils

A game of 2 halves with the wind dictating the game.

Bingham played with the strong wind and worked their way to a 22 point lead with tries from Ben Jones, Tommy Besson with a superb effort running back a missed touch finder from our own 22 & Jack Barnard.

3 crucial injuries in the 1st half with Luke Hurst, James Hardy & Will Packer all having their game cut short and needing to make big changes in the backs. Moderns managed to pull 1 back just before half - 22 - 7

The 2nd half followed the 1st with Moderns using the wind to their advantage but resolute BIngham defense kept them out for 25 mins even with a 10 minute sin bin to cope with.

Ultimately Moderns scored to reduce the deficit. Ben Jones made a great break on half way and was brought down 10 meters out but with support stretched, possession was lost.

Moderns scored a 3rd try with 5 minutes to go but with with only 1 of the 2nd half tries converted, Moderns needed a try to win.

With the last play of the game, Moderns forced a line out on the Bingham 5m but somehow Hamish Robinson stole the ball from the driving maul and the game was won.

Sweet revenge for earlier season losses to Moderns.
