HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Hello everyone,
As we hit the halfway point of the season, I wanted to share some news from across the club.
Our 1st Team have really found their feet in a tougher league this year — winning 3 of their last 4 games and climbing to mid‑table. A great effort from everyone involved, especially Will, Mike and Joe.
Our Mini & Junior section celebrated its 10th anniversary — a fantastic milestone. Huge thanks to everyone who’s supported it over the years, especially our original coaches: Chris Packer, Rob Maxey, Chris Bell, Richard Walters and Lee Fretwell.
Seeing so many happy young players enjoying rugby on a Sunday morning is always a highlight for me.
The Junior section continues to grow, now with U13s, U14s and U15s, all enjoying strong early‑season results in the NLD competitions.
And Girls Rugby at Bingham — what a year!
A massive well done to Mark and Lucy Blyth; recent Civic Award winners, and to Imogen, Rushcliffe Young Person of the Year. Their hard work has helped build a thriving section with almost 30 girls training every Wednesday.
Even better, on 14th December our Girls played their first ever home games against Nottingham Casuals, a brilliant moment for the club.
Behind the scenes, we’ve strengthened our safeguarding work, thank you Rachel and Chris.
And a big thank you to the grounds team, led by Steve and Chris, for keeping the pitch in great shape.
To all our helpers, volunteers, coaches, players, parents, grandparents and friends of Bingham Rugby:
Have a fantastic Christmas & New Year
Best wishes,
Glen Lever, Chairman, Bingham Rugby
