A Scrappy start to the game not helped playing uncontested scrums from the outset with Corsairs not having a full front row but at least a game and Corsairs honouring the fixture
After 20 mins Bingham eventually force a consistent period of pressure and the 1st try comes care of Oscar Ciaurro.
Ben Sansom then comes off still suffering from a knock the previous week
A penalty from Anthony Thomas increased the lead to 8 – 0 but Bingham just not clinical enough and allowed Corsairs to create some pressure themselves eventually scoring in the corner after scrum ball and poor tackling
HT comes 8 – 5 and a lacklustre 1st half
A Much better 2nd half starting well recovering the kick off and building pressure. From Line out Bingham get the ball wide, recycle back infield & Jonathan Thomas breaks down the centre. Quick ball then gets to Sean Richardson who unselfishly commits the last defender to put Chris Pearman in at the corner. Anthony Thomas slots the extra 2 points, 15 – 5
Oscar gets his 2nd of the game after scrum ball – Anthony again gets the conversion 22 – 5.
Although dominant, Bingham still not clinical and allowed Corsairs in under the posts 22 – 12
Tries were then traded, Bingham getting the ball wide and good hands in the backs allowed James Seagrave from Full back to score 27 – 12. Corsairs respond and were helped with some poor Bingham defence 27 – 19 before Bingham strike back to score the final try through Sean Richardson making a great steal and dancing through a crowd to score his debut try under the posts. Anthony added the conversion 34 – 19 – full time
