Bingham were not helped by Ryan Green dislocating his thumb in the warm-up but produced a much better defensive performance to stifle opportunities for Keyworth, deservedly getting a home win and gaining revenge for the early season loss to local rivals Keyworth.

Harry Lister returned and more than filled the 10 spot and sprayed the ball wide as often as possible but it was Keyworth who opened the scoring with a penalty.

A couple of good turnovers from Harry Bowles in attacking positions helped apply some pressure & Chris Bell looked to have scored but was brought back for a forward pass. From subsequent possession, Bingham got it wide to Jamie Graham who scored in the corner.

After a spate of penalties, Harry B took a yellow for the team but Bingham battled on and, with few scoring opportunities for either side, the half finished 5 - 3 in Bingham's favour but with Keyworth exerting pressure at the end of the half.

Will Packer still nursing an injury from pre xmas extended the lead with a penalty.

Keyworth capitalised on some broken play and replied with a try and conversion 8 - 10 and later extended with a penalty 8 - 13.

Bingham stuck to the task with some forward tenacity, broke the line off a ruck setting up an attack and again got the ball wide and back inside to Jamie for his 2nd. Converted by Anthony Thomas. 15 - 13

With time ticking down, Veteran dave Fairchild makes a storming run peeling from a maul and with all the momentum Bingham pile on the pressure and after a couple of rumbles with John Rickard forcing some space, somehow Anthony Thomas gets over and seals the win.

Great support from both sides and terrific after match celebrating the planning approval.
