Bingham claimed a 24–0 victory over local rivals West Bridgford in a hastily arranged friendly after Birstall withdrew from the National Cup.
Debutant Tom Szolin got on the scoresheet alongside tries from Tom Besson, Tom Osborne and Tom Leighton, who also added two conversions.
Bingham led 12–0 at the break before extending their advantage with two more scores in worsening conditions.
Despite the mixed nature of their side, West Bridgford posed threats throughout, with strong forward pressure and pace out wide, but Bingham’s defence held firm.
It was a satisfying win, though not without setbacks, as injuries mean Bingham face some selection challenges ahead of their opening league fixture away at Ollerton next week.
