Despite 2 recent losses, pressure kept on the top 2 in the league with a 9 try bonus point win over Barton with Oli Dodge getting himself a 1st Senior Hat Trick.

A heavy pitch greeted both teams as Bingham elected to play into the wind. Very similar to the opening away fixture at Barton, Bingham opened the scoring quickly gaining 2 tries in the opening 10 Minutes; the initial try from captain Jonathan Thomas taking a quick penalty after the backs had made the initial break upfield and the 2nd from a blind side break in our own half with Lee Fretwell feeding Will Packer offloading to Oli Dodge with still work to do slipped the last tackle and ran in from 30metres. Andy price converted both.

Scoring then again mirrored the away fixture as Barton hit back as the 10 took the ball from a scrum 22; threw 2 dummies and ran round to score and convert to make it 14-7. Toby Billingham, in his last game before moving south put on his dancing feet after good drive from Pete Mount with Toby in & out of the defence and scoring under the posts to aid the conversion.
Line outs and scrums were solid and performing well but a poor KO collection and distribution put us under pressure which eventually led to Bingham conceding a penalty which Barton collected 3 points. Half time came 21 - 10

Bingham applied the pressure in the 2nd half and any thoughts of a close game were put aside as 2 early tries took the game away from Barton. A scrum 5 allowed Toby to get clean ball and work his way through the defence, the next from Jason Churchill making his 1st appearance of the season on as sub after a series of pick & drives. Toby's try converted and the score extended to 33 -10 and the bonus point secured.
The forwards provided a good driving platform and Oscar Ciaurro took advantage coming in off his blind side wing to create an extra man and a gap for Will Packer to exploit and offload to Oli Dodge. Shortly after, a deft chip from Toby was collected by Will who managed to force his way over from 22m, 43 - 10
Barton then applied a period of pressure and despite conceding a series of penalties, Bingham held firm before clearing. The backs got clean ball and a miss pass put Oli in for his hat trick. Probably one of the best passages of play was kept for the last score of the day; with several phases of play and direction switched from one side to the other a decisive switch of direction and long pass from Andy Price found Will Packer who committed the last man to put Chris Bell in for the score. converted by Will 55 - 10
