Cold & Windy with players coming back from injury and welcome back Andrew Gill

A somewhat disjointed affair but Bingham gain 6 try away bonus point win.
In bitterly cold and windy conditions at Creswell, Bingham welcomed back Ali Wood, Jamie Graham and Chris Garrod from long term injury and Andrew Gill making a comeback after a couple of years away. With a few positional changes to boot, all combined to make it a bit tricky and for Bingham to establish any real periods of continuity.

Early turnovers allowed Will Packer to slot a penalty and conversion of the 1st of Jamie Grahams tries. His 2nd came following a scrum getting the ball wide for Jamie to run round and Will once again added the extras.

Oli Dodge was sound at full back and approaching half time took a clearing kick on half way beat the 1st tacklers and then ran wide to score in the corner H/T 0 - 22

Andy price earned an early 2nd half try in the corner and a well worked line out saw captain Jonathan Thomas score under the posts making it easier for Will to make it 0 - 34.

Ben Jones was denied a try as his score was ruled out for crossing.

The 2nd half stuttered as a few injuries and niggles meant further reshaping of the team but gave the opportunity for Ali, Chris and Andrew to come on with 15 / 20 minutes to go.

Errors then allowed Creswell to put the Bingham line under pressure and they eventually got a well deserved try.

In the dying minutes, Ali Wood snaffled the ball from a Creswell attack in his own 22 and ran almost the length of the pitch before being caught but Lee Fretwell provided the support needed to be on hand for an offload and to score in the corner.

Final score Creswell 5 - Bingham 39

A little disappointing in terms of performance with so many changes but a good spirit and kept going to the end.
