A few faces back was a welcome boost to the squad after a couple of recent losses and a tough day last time out at Skegness.
An early penalty from Will Packer making his 1st start of the season was quickly wiped off as Woodhouse drove round the front of a 5m lineout but Bingham came straight back forcing another penalty for Will to slot over.
Bingham showed an eagerness to gain quick ball to keep away from the Woodhouse pack and Ben Jones exploited a gap down the blind side to outsprint the cover from the 22m. Conversion wide out from Will Packer.
Minutes later and after several phases, the Bingham backs got the ball wide for Chris Garrod to score in the corner; great conversion from the touchline from Will Packer made it 20 -5.
Woodhouse continued to challenge and maintained a hold on the game but the Bingham defence held firm and worked way back up the pitch forcing a penalty which was taken quickly with Lee Fretwell going over from short range; again converted.
Woodhouse finished the half strongly with Bingham holding the ball up on a couple of occasions and half time came 27 - 5
A somewhat scrappy 2nd half combined with Bingham making changes. From poor scrum possession on half way, Lee Fretwell & Ben Packer linked well and a kick chase forced panic in the Woodhouse defence conceding a penalty from which Jason Churchill showed his alertness to take quickly and almost get over but from the resultant possession, Chris Heathcote walked in. 32 - 5
The game finished on a sour note with a red card shown to Woodhouse on full time.
A positive performance with improvements being seen and optimism as we entertain Cleethorpes next week at Brendon Grove
